形態特徵

Perennial erect herbs, 70–150 cm tall, covered with septate hairs; stems quadrangular, puberulent or villous.
Leaves petiolate; petioles 1–4 cm long, densely puberulent; blades widely ovate, more or less triangular, 5–12 cm long, 2–7 cm wide, base cuneate to slightly cordate, apex acuminate, margins coarsely serrate, densely puberulent.
Inflorescences of compact verticillate cymes, loose or compact, terminal and in upper leaf axils; bracteoles 3–6 mm long. Flowers subsessile; calyx 5–6 mm long at anthesis, to 1 cm long in fruit, campanulate, puberulent, covered with glandular hairs and glandular dots, 5-toothed; corolla ca. 15 mm long, tubular, puberulent, covered with minute glandular hairs and glandular dots, limb bilabiate, upper lip erect, entire, lower lip spreading, 3-lobed, central lobe emarginate, covered with long hairs inside; stamens 4, didynamous, exserted, filaments hairy; stigma bifid, lobes unequal.
Nutlets 1.5–2 mm long, rounded or sometimes emarginate at apex, smooth.
